Illinois started the Big Ten season strong at Michigan State last weekend, winning three of four against the Spartans. Sandwiched around that series, the Illini won games against Judson and Indiana State last week and defeated Southern Illinois and Saint Louis this week. The Hoosiers are nearly as hot as Illinois, having won three straight and eight of their last 10. Indiana earned a series split at Minnesota to open Big Ten play last weekend.
