PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Rutgers baseball team was picked to finish eighth out of 12 teams in the BIG EAST Conference in a vote by the league’s head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own team. Sophomore first baseman Jaren Matthews (Teaneck, N.J.) represented Rutgers on the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.
