PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The defending BIG EAST Conference regular-season and tournament champion Rutgers baseball team was picked to finish fourth in the 12-team conference in a vote by the league's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own team. Junior first baseman Tom Edwards (Caldwell, N.J.) was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.
